Another thing I believe is because he respects other people's privacy. So he tries to avoid filming other people especially from the front. So you get less impulses.
These food vending machines are so amazing. I have never seen anything like them before. Game, drink and snack machines are quite common in New Zealand but I have never seen machines that heat food like this. The prefecture should ensure they keep running and promote them as a tourist attraction!! Thank you very much for showing me new things.
I have just discovered this channel, and I also like it a lot. Japan keeps being so fascinating and so full of contrasts for me. For example at 13h00: getting a glowing poop necklace is a winning price ;-) in Japan. And as a contrast, in public toilets, there are often fake waterfall sounds, to mask any other sounds coming from the toilet.
I truly enjoy watching this channel. Since the beginning. It is very peaceful and it makes me feel like im there as well. Please keep these videos coming.
This is an introverts dream. I wish we had vending machines like this in the USA. Our vending machines are mostly cold drinks or small snacks, and there's not many of them.
It's amazing that you went to more then one location. Thanks! My wife wants to go to Japan now, I've been there but never used a vending machine so it will be a new experience for me too!
"Automat" was a franchise present in all the world back in the 1970's,my parents used to take to one when I was very young. All the kids loved eating on those back then! But on those days the mascot was a moustached guy, much like Mario. Next time you go for a hot sandwich get a couple of napkins first to grab the food, they are for that too.
i am so thankful for your channel. when life is really beating me up, your channel brings me so much peace and happiness. your channel reminds me to keep exploring and finding joy in the little things. thank you~!! 🫶🏻
As a lover of things retro, I wanna visit these places! The food looked yum, and all the vending machines looked well kept up and amazing! As I said, I love retro things, like games and consoles, and things like vending machines, so I hope to see classic arcades from Japan one day too! The poop charm was actually very cute, and was like "AMAZING!" when you showed it glowed, and I wanted one! hehehe. Thank you for another wonderful and chill video, and stay amazing and wonderful in your travels dear friend!
Thank you for your kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I hope you get to visit these places and see the classic arcades in Japan someday. Stay amazing and wonderful too!
Ah, this restaurant! I've seen this in some other videos, but you have no idea the joy I feel knowing this place is still open with that adorable charm. This is something you can only experience in Japan.
I recognize the automat diner from an older video, the biggest change is the table at 3:50; there used to be a couple arcade games there along with a small spot (likely for kids) towards the front window where the capsule toy machine now occupy.
Thank you for the wonderful video. It has significantly alleviated my sense of longing for Japan. I have not had the opportunity to return to Japan for the past five years.
Very retro & very cool! If we had places like this, I’d probably not cook as much, even though the food is processed & not very good for you. Thanks for another awesome video!
Those machines use nixie tubes for the countdown timer display! They had to have been made in the 60s. I haven't seen a functioning nixie display in years! Great video!
Great video. Just realized there's plenty of Retro Vending Machine Restaurant in Japan, especially Gunma Prefecture. I think the only place to see retro vending machine are on the tyre shop and one in rest stop.
"the fifth hokage" :D i did not know you could top your ramen with tsunade. What a mysterious topping. (The fifth hokage is called senju tsunade, Naruto is number 7)
Another vending machines video! There must be a lot of these in Japan, meanwhile, I've never even heard of them here in the States! And even if they existed, I'd never eat the food. It would be an almost certain case of food poisoning! 😢 Thank you for your courageous food exploration. I'm only sorry about sold-out Coke. A nice cold Coke in a glass bottle would have been the perfect accompaniment to your culinary adventure! Thank you for the lovely video. Until next time, be well and happy!
Thank you for doing these videos, I have always wanted to go to Japan but I don't want to alone (at least the first time lol) but friends haven't been able to commit to it for different reasons. Maybe someday but till then I'll live it through your videos 😊😊
Nice video! As an introverted finn, i would love the convenience of a cheeseburger vending machine while traveling to work. It's the future after all...
I loved it I love your channel very much It makes me move to Japan, and when the video ends I return to reality I want to cry now because I want to stay with you on the journey 😭
A neckerchief could be useful to keep with you when venturing out for vending machine meals where they don't have oven mitts to protect your hands from being burned. At least you could fold it up to use as protection for your hands.
These were all over as well in the late 1980s. Vending machine restaurants were popular in New York and in Chicago. Now they are likely to be vandalized or destroyed.
I wish we had vending machines that had real food. Ours are mainly cold beverages, snacks and gum. If you go to Las Vegas, they have interesting vending machines that have everything from purses to aspirin to toothbrushes but still no real food. Maybe it's because we have so many convenience stores that are open all of the time. Thank you for showing us a map of Japan and where your destination is each time you travel. I'm hungry now so I'm going to make some ramen. Thanks for the vid.
I go visit Japan and rent a Mazda 3 to check out vending machines and go sight seeing. I open the car door and . . . . awwwww, great! that's just great! The steering wheel is in the wrong place!! Nice video by the way :) Looks like Coca-Cola has taken over the World :)
Haha, that’s a classic reaction! It takes some getting used to, but driving in Japan can be fun. And yes, Coca-Cola is everywhere! Thanks for watching the video!
The vending machines restaurant are awesome though, shame that we can’t have those in my country because some people just can’t behave themselves. Always wanted to vandalise the machines and steal money, you need at least 1 person guarding the restaurant.
I’m curious how the food inside stays fresh before it’s heated up. Does it have some kind of cold storage compartment and when it’s ordered it’s moved to a heating unit? The mechanics of those machines are fascinating.
You surprised me positively😄 How to turn a topic that is not in my top ten interests into a movie that I will watch witch pleasure😊 You succeeded 100 percent🥰 And the glowing poop would be good for cycling at night😉
"In Japan, a "Glowing poop" is apparently a "winnning" prize. I'm also very happy" I laughed so hard at this. I am glad you were happy with your glowing poop💩😂
If someone came up to me and asked, “What do you know about Japan?” I would say 2 things- “Japanese Love Each Other and their Country and They Love Vending Machines😂❤🇺🇸🤝🇯🇵
Thanks for watching! In Japan, poop-themed items are seen as funny and cute, and they’re often used in a light-hearted, playful way. It's a cultural thing!
I like how the first place has tongs and a mitten and the second place just has a sign “lol, good luck, don’t hurt yourself too badly!”
lol that’s hilarious
Haha, it’s quite the contrast! Glad you noticed the humor. Thanks for watching!
Prices are fairly reasonable, but ingredients are skimpy. ☹️
I love how peaceful this channel is.
Very therapeutic!
That's why I watch it!
Yes, mostly because he doesn't use BGM and doesn't speak during the recording.
Another thing I believe is because he respects other people's privacy. So he tries to avoid filming other people especially from the front. So you get less impulses.
I'm glad you enjoy the peaceful vibes! Thanks for watching!
Aw, places like this closing down is too common. Love retro time capsule type places. They're like landmarks, history! 🥺💘💙
I agree, it's sad to see them go. They are truly special places. Thanks for watching!

Game, drink and snack machines are quite common in New Zealand but I have never seen machines that heat food like this. I agree, these machines are unique and should be promoted! Thanks for watching!
Same here across the Dutch...

I'm glad my videos can help you relax. Thanks for watching!

I’m so glad you’ve been enjoying the channel from the beginning! It’s great to hear that the videos bring you peace. I’ll definitely keep them coming.
Loved the video, and also as a nerd, loved the Nixie tubes used for the countdown in all the machines. Those are retro tech as well!
Glad you enjoyed the video and the retro tech! Thanks for watching!
This is an introverts dream. I wish we had vending machines like this in the USA. Our vending machines are mostly cold drinks or small snacks, and there's not many of them.
Thanks! Vending machines here really are convenient. Maybe they'll become more popular in the USA someday!

I'm so glad to hear that! Thank you for your kind words. Keep finding joy in the little things! 🌟
Here in America, those tongs and the mitten would be gone in a heartbeat.
Haha, I can imagine! It’s nice how things like that are respected and left for others to use in Japan.

Seeing the change machine locked down like that was unusual. For Japan at least.

Thanks a lot! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Sometimes it's nice to enjoy retro places even if the food isn't the healthiest!
Love the electronic Nixie tube displays from the 1950-60's showing the countdown. State-of-the-art stuff for its day.👍😂
Glad you liked it! Those Nixie tubes are truly nostalgic and cool! 😄
The food looked so much better than I was expecting and really cheap too!

Please do visit this place again and have the ice cream and cup noodles.
Also, I eagerly wait for your videos, so keep making them.
I love vending machines but getting harder to find them here in the USA unless you're in a hospital
Because people in western countries probably would destroy them anyways🤷🏻
Or in hotels
lol yea cause who wants to pay $3.50 for a candy bar
That's true! Vending machines are everywhere in Japan. Thanks for watching!
And half the time hospital vending machines steal your money by not giving you anything

@@experience_japan To be honest. I only know it, because i finished naruto shippuuden yesterday :D

Are there any retro vending machines in he United States? This is very cool 👍🏻.
The glowing poop shaped pendant 🤣
